The sector includes retail sales:
  • in non-specialised stores
  • of food, beverages and tobacco
  • of pharmaceutical and medical goods, cosmetics and toiletries
  • of new goods (inc. textiles, clothing, footware, furniture, electrical household appliances, hardware, books, newspaper and other goods)
  • of second-hand goods
  • not in stores (in mail order, stalls and markets, internet)
  • and repair of personal and household goods

 

> "Learning Pays: Retail" sets out what we have done so far to start addressing the learning and skills issues of Sussex employers, individuals and communities and provides details of the actions we intend to take with our lead partners.
